The City of Taylor and county members met Wednesday and unanimously approve incentives and agreements for the $17B Samsung Plant. Now they’re waiting to hear the final decision from Samsung. “Other possible locations for the plant under consideration by Samsung are Austin, Phoenix, and upstate New York.” – Tahera Rahman, Jaclyn Ramkissoon

“Texas’ largest economic development project and the “largest economic development project with foreign investment ever in the United States.”
— Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell

Taylor, TX is a suburb of Austin, located northeast and is also east of Round Rock, TX. We actually have been investing in Taylor for years with buying and holding rental investments. You can check out more about the city of Taylor by watching our vlog where we explore downtown Taylor and get some great bbq from Louie Mueller.

If Samsung does decide to move forward with the city of Taylor for their next $17B plant, this will bring over 1,800 jobs to the area. This number doesn’t include the amount of job opportunities for construction which are estimating to be any where from 6,000-10,000 construction jobs.

Another amazing opportunity for the area, is that with the agreements, Samsung would contribute at least 24 paid internships for Taylor students over the next 30 years. If Samsung does move forward in the city of Taylor, this will be historic and a great opportunity.
